What is YuE2?

YuE2 is an open-weight music generation model developed by M-A-P. It connects symbolic music planning with audio generation: lyrics and musical direction can become a melody-and-chord score, then a song with vocals and accompaniment.

YuE2 takes lyrics and a style description as creative inputs. The style can describe genre, instruments, vocal character and mood. With symbolic planning, the model composes melody and chords before rendering the music as audio, connecting the written composition with the sung performance and instrumental arrangement.

The musical plan can be represented as an editable score in ABC notation. This allows melody and harmony to be inspected and revised before generating another performance. YuE2 supports melody-and-chord planning, melody-only planning and direct audio generation, with published workflows for original songs, score-guided covers and music editing.

Choose Text to Music to begin with words, or Music to Music to include a reference. Paste a draft and add section labels with @. Read the verse and chorus aloud once before generating. Shorten lines that feel crowded, and make sure the chorus contains the words you want the song to return to.

Use the default style or select a preset beneath the Style field. Tell YuE2 the lyric language, vocal character, instruments and mood. You can include a tempo such as 88 BPM. Keep the description focused: a piano ballad with a restrained drum part gives you a clearer starting point than several competing genres in one prompt.

How do I turn lyrics into a song with YuE2?

Choose Text to Music, add your lyrics, and choose or write a style description. Select your audio format and generate after signing in. YuE2 uses the words and musical direction to create a song with vocals and accompaniment. The finished result appears with an audio player.

Can I try YuE2 for free?

How do the @ section labels work?

Type @ in the lyrics editor, then choose Verse, Chorus or Bridge. You can use the arrow keys and Enter, or click a label. The @ button below the lyrics opens the same menu. YuE2 receives the section markers with your lyrics, and copying or pasting text keeps the words without imported styling.

What should I write in the YuE2 Style field?

Describe the lyric language, genre, voice, instruments and mood. You can also include a tempo. Start with a preset such as Warm piano pop, then change the details to suit your song. Style descriptions guide generation; exact pronunciation, timing and arrangement still need a listen after the result is ready.

Can I upload a song as a reference?

Yes. Music to Music accepts one reference audio file alongside your lyrics and style. You can preview the selected recording before generating and replace it if needed. Use this mode when you want a new musical rendition informed by a recording you have permission to use.

Does YuE2 work with languages besides English?

This page includes Chinese, Japanese and Spanish examples as well as English tracks. Write your lyrics in the intended language and name that language in Style. Listen closely to diction and phrasing in your result; the examples show directions to explore, not a guarantee for every language or lyric.

Which formats does the studio offer?

The YuE2 studio offers MP3, WAV and FLAC, with MP3 selected by default. Choose the format before generating. You can play completed music on the page; paid plans list downloads as an included feature. Choose your plan according to how you intend to use the result.

Do I need to install YuE2 on my computer?

No local model installation is needed to use this studio. Write your lyrics, set the style and listen in your browser. You need to sign in and have enough credits to submit a generation. The studio shows task progress while the service creates your song.

Can I reuse a seed for another version?

Yes. Open Advanced and enter a seed, or leave it blank for a random result. Reusing a seed can help when comparing changes to the lyric or musical direction. Keep a copy of your settings as well, and expect a new generation when you change the inputs.
